Purchased two of this unit for flux raiders and they are perfect, as long as you purchase the low mount as well. This should have been included with the unit. Standard mount works well on ar platform, but for pdw/smaller pcc's, the low mount is a must. Fitment to rail is almost too tight, but absolutely solid once mounted. Glass clarity is a, and the protective covers are similar clarity so with or without covers the picture is perfect. Unit is very well made, and feels like it can take hits, as evidenced by videos online of torture tests. I went with green due to personal preference, green stands out better for me. Aems comes with single and target circle, or both, and i really like the auto dimming feature, very accurate. Favorite feature is auto on with movement, it hasn't failed on me yet (in about a month's ownership, so not a ton of use). I plan to replace all my sights with ones that have the auto on, it is one less step to perform when deploying a platform. Battery life is advertised to be a ton, so i'm going to see how this fares in about a year with it set to auto on. I have it in bag carry so it will be basically on for about 1-2 hrs per day. Solar panel may seem gimmicky but it works without the battery installed so it is definitely powerful enough to run the led. For the cost difference between the regular aems & the aems core version, i would go with the regular, for about $100 difference unit is made out of stronger aluminum, more features and better glass protection. One hit to the glass on the core and you'd have to buy another one. With the regular you can buy another cover and be out a lot less. Simmons sporting goods is a very excellent retailer.
